For my college capstone project, I helped Fargo-Moorhead non-profit River Keepers by designing a modern website that met their growing needs. That was in 2016. I continued to help River Keepers with website maintenance, and they eventually hired me as their website contractor. In 2020, I completely redesigned their website, because frankly I’d learned a lot since college. It was time for an update!
The result is the current site pictured below. They use WordPress because it allows them to upload and manage their own content as-needed. I only jump in for major updates or problems. I gave the site an overhaul using Elementor Pro and the Hello theme to create a custom theme that meets their needs. I also improved the performance of the store and online donations.
I love working with this amazing organization, not only because they do good work, but because the people that run it are awesome to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a better capstone project!
