About Me

Hi there, I’m Linda Norland! I’m a multitalented digital creative based out of lakes country Minnesota. What exactly does that mean? Keep scrolling to find out!

Who I Am

When it comes to digital marketing, I’ve got all the bases covered. I have done website development since 2014, and have managed over 10 WordPress websites and three Squarespace sites. I also have experience with animation/motion graphics/video editing, graphic design, photography, social media, email marketing, writing/editing, public relations, and digital advertising. I built my career on a solid foundation that includes a drive to tell better stories, a passion for problem solving, and a drive to learn. With these three talents, there’s no creative pursuit that I can’t tackle.

I’m at my best when faced with a new challenge. That’s when my unique combination of creativity, curiosity, and adaptability really shine. I thrive in a fast-paced environment where I can handle different projects and continue to grow my ever-expanding skill set.

I enjoy my current role at SJE Inc. because I have a broad list of responsibilities and opportunities for innovation. In my time here, I have designed and developed four websites, translated my written storytelling ability into video content production, learned 3D modeling, and even acquired my drone license to fly commercially. I take pleasure in growing our social media and email lists through creative content combined with a love of analytics and strategy. My favorite projects have been building new websites for our acquisitions and creating animated videos where I turned my coworkers into cartoon characters to explain our new values.

I am proficient in most of the Adobe Creative Cloud apps, with advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. I also use Blender for 3D modeling and animation. I have extensive experience building and maintaining WordPress websites, with a focus on Elementor Pro and other pagebuilders.

I also have attended several leadership trainings, most recently the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s competitive Leaders Lab program in 2021.

What I Do

Our digital world changes fast, which means there’s always something new and different to learn. Luckily, I love learning new skills and adapting my process as the technology changes. See some of the things I’ve learned below.

I majored in Web Design at NDSU, and though it’s just one of my many skills nowadays, it’s still my passion. I specialize in WordPress website creation and management. These days, I tend to use Elementor Pro for web design. However, I still dive into the HTML and CSS on occasion.

I have experience with both print and digital design, but the latter is my specialty. Whether you’re looking for a social media post, a web banner, or a poster, I’m your girl.

I make videos with a variety of skills, including filming, editing, animation, motion design, and sound design.

My minor at NDSU was journalism, and I carry my love for writing into my marketing career. I write, design, and direct all sorts of creative content for sharing on the web. From blogs to press releases to social posts, I’ve got it covered.

I’ve been experimenting with photography since I was 16. Now I use my skills to take product and professional portrait photos for work. I also enjoy wildlife and landscape photography as a hobby.

This is kind of a general catch-all for a range of skills I’ve developed, including:

  • Email marketing
  • Social media (organic & paid)
  • Google Ads
  • SEO
